The rupee was quoting at Rs 95.2 against the US$.

The gold price in the latest contract on MCX was up by 0.9% at Rs 1,49,828 per 10 grams.

However, silver prices were down by 0.1% at 2,27,423 per 1 kg.

As for the stock market, Rahul Shah, a Research Analyst at Equitymaster, discusses the dangers of increasing valuations, as investors continue pouring their money into highly valued stocks and index funds.

Berger Paints Q1 Performance

The stock of Berger Paints became a point of discussion following the publication of the Q1 FY27 performance of the company.

The Q1FY27 consolidated net profit of Berger Paints increased by 21% year-on-year. The consolidated net profit of the company stood at Rs 4.04 billion in Q1 FY27.

The revenue of the company increased by 12.1% year-on-year to Rs 35.84 billion in the June quarter. The EBITDA of the company increased by 15% to Rs 6.07 billion with the operating margin remaining unchanged at 17%.

PB Fintech Q1 Result

The shares of PB Fintech gained momentum following the results of the company’s Q1 FY27.

PB Fintech has posted a consolidated net profit growth of 92.4% on a year-on-year basis in Q1 FY27. The net profit of the company stood at Rs 1.63 billion in Q1 FY27 as against Rs 0.85 billion in the corresponding quarter last year.

The revenue saw an increase of 40.1% YoY to Rs 18.88 billion as against Rs 13.48 billion in the year-ago quarter.

EBITDA was up by 315% YoY to Rs 1.39 billion from Rs 0.34 billion in the previous year while the EBITDA margin expanded to 7.37% from 2.54%.

Q1 FY27 Results of Cummins India

Shares of Cummins India gained attention following the release of its Q1 FY27 results.

Cummins India recorded a YoY increase of 0.9% in PAT (profit after tax) to Rs 6.09 billion in Q1 FY27; however, it posted a sequential decrease of 6.2%.

Net sales witnessed a YoY growth of 17.9% and 13.8% QoQ to Rs 34.26 billion in the June quarter, whereas total income saw an increase of 17.2% YoY and 12.9% QoQ to Rs 35.63 billion.

On the other hand, total expenses showed an increase of 22.8% YoY and 18.3% QoQ to Rs 28.62 billion. Cost of raw materials grew 17.9% YoY to Rs 20.94 billion, employee costs surged 16.9% YoY to Rs 2.33 billion, interest expense saw a jump of 47.2% YoY to Rs 0.04 billion, and depreciation expense showed an increase of 9.7% YoY to Rs 0.53 billion.
